INSPIRITION - now what is that all about? JAPRA - JAZZAMBIENTPOPROCKALTERNATIVE - a mouthful? Oh yes, this band (Isabel, Gren, Andy, Clive, Jools and Charlie) have been forming over the last two years, all of the six professional players have been treading the boards with their craft - some longer than others…., all devoted to producing sounds which change and delight whoever listens.

This music is often described first through its singer, Isabel Aimee - Pink, Kate Bush, Cyndie Lauper, Blondie even Enya… the mood is upbeat even when we are slow and dreamy (this is love, unspoken words, if you are real) and sometimes hard-edged, a little cutting (laser sharp, city, call in some help) but always wanting, needing to tell the truth…, whatever that is!

This UK band held its debut in Glastonbury, have played festivals in the UK in 2007 and 2008, London and the surrounding South West region of their origin. Next year we will be touring abroad (check our gigs page for current news) to promote our new album, Truth Telling. Join the INSPIRITive part of your listening career…! Vocals

I wanted to be a ballet dancer from the age of three when I first stepped into my pink leather shoes, white dress (with a pink sash) and drank in that peculiar smell of pink ballet leather, old piano music and - probably sweat. I learned that the way I moved my body was important even if no one paid attention to what I said. Singing was just something I did all the time.

Guitar and Keys

Having been young and reckless when I started out on my musical journey, I'm glad this state still continues! The past 35 years have really been preparation for today. I have been blessed with playing with some wonderful people over this time, building my character, individualism, perseverance and musical abilities for the days with Inspirition.

Bass

I began playing music at the age of 14. I knew all along that I wanted to play Bass, but Dad insisted that I should learn to play guitar first. I used to pick out the bass lines on my guitar the whole time. I learned the guitar but auditioned for my first band - without a Bass. I bought one with my Dad the day before I had my first rehearsal!, I winged it!

Drums

I'm a drummer and freelance musician hailing from Salisbury, where I was brought up by two nice people who I like to call my parents, both music lovers and players in their own right. The eclectic range of gigs I was taken to as a child inspired a love of music indiscriminate of genres.
